Our Luxury Yurt Glampsite
Caalm Camp, our luxury yurt glampsite, is located in a secluded field at the back of our former dairy farm, overlooking our paddocks and benefitting from views as far as the eye can see across the Blackmore Dales, Duncliffe Woods, Bullbarrow and Hambledon Hill. Wildlife-lovers will be truly spoiled for choice as our farm attracts a huge array of birds and mammals. Hares, foxes, badgers and deer are all regular visitors. Each of our luxury yurts benefits from its own outdoor seating/barbecue area. We have generously set them apart from each for optimal privacy and comfort, and the whole site is fenced off for maximum security.
We have built a child’s play area complete with wooden climbing frame and swings where children can play safely. To add to the whole glamping experience, we have dug out a fire pit where our glampers can congregate to enjoy our wonderful sunsets, some star-gazing, whilst toasting marshmallows on the open fire and partaking of a glass of their favourite tipple. Why not have a good old sing-a-along to round off the evening with your fellow glampers now that lockdown is at at end finally.
The Old Hay Barn
Kitchen and Washrooms
We have lovingly converted our former hay barn. This now houses all of our glampsite facilities comprising a modern kitchen, washrooms and dining/conference area. The design has taken into consideration the complete comfort and privacy of our guests. In the spirit of glamping, we have created six individual, luxury lockable shower rooms (one for each yurt), a large, modern, fully-equipped kitchen with two large cookers, two sinks and two hobs, along with six individual fridges. Our guests will not have to worry about getting their Dorset Blue Vinny mixed up with their Dorset Knobs.
Our spacious lounge/diner area has everything you need to keep everyone entertained: toys for the kids and an array of board games, large TV and plenty of books to peruse. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the windows will leave you spell-bound.
A list of essentials to bring
We recommend you bring along the following essentials, as these are not included in your yurt glamping package holiday:
- torch
- matches
- firelighters
- a cool box
- wellies
- soft shoes for inside the yurts
- tea towels, dish cloths
- washing up liquid
- extra toilet rolls
To get your holiday started, we will throw in a few of the above essentials such as firelighters, matches and a toilet roll.
